Summer Party 2026: Growing Stronger Together as One Team

An evening to reconnect, share experiences and celebrate what makes Italchimica a true team. This was the spirit of the Summer Party 2026, which on 10 July brought together colleagues in the beautiful setting of Villa Casali, in Abano Terme.

With music, great company and plenty of entertainment, the event also offered an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of teamwork thanks to the participation of Leonardo Ghiraldini, former captain of the Italian national rugby team, who took part in an inspiring conversation with Stefano Belloni, Italchimica’s Human Resources Director.

Drawing on his experience at the highest level of international rugby, Ghiraldini explained how the greatest achievements are often made possible by the contribution of those working behind the scenes. In rugby, every try is the result of a collective effort: while one player carries the ball, it is the support, positioning and commitment of the entire team that create the opportunity to score. A message that strongly resonates with Italchimica, where every function, department and shift plays a vital role in achieving our shared goals every day.

Another key theme was trust. In rugby, progress depends on passing the ball to a teammate; in the workplace, continuity relies on effective handovers, clear communication and shared responsibility. It is the small actions, carried out consistently every day, that make the difference and enable a team to grow stronger together.

The discussion also explored the concept of leadership, not as a position, but as an example. As Ghiraldini highlighted, authentic leadership is built through consistency, accountability and the ability to empower others, creating an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. A shared culture is what enables a team to embrace change without losing its identity.

The evening continued with rugby-inspired activities involving colleagues from different departments, transforming the values discussed during the interview into a practical and engaging team experience.

Every year, the Summer Party represents a special occasion for Italchimica: an opportunity to thank everyone who contributes to the company’s growth and to strengthen the sense of belonging that will support us through the exciting challenges ahead, including the expansion of our production facility planned for next year.
